Under våren 2021 hade vi glädjen att husera Emelie Liljebäck på kontoret i Stockholm. Emelie är en genreöverskridande konsthantverkare som arbetar med objekt och installationer. Emelie är utbildad vid Konstfack, CRAFT! och tog sin masterexamen 2020.

Emelies examensarbete, Finding presence of the absent, är ett projekt som berör vardagliga historier. Det handlar om det förgångna och vardagliga föremål som blivit tillsynes osynliga. Ett undersökande stycke kvinnohistoria om vad och vem som tillåts att ta plats. Här på kontoret har Emelie arbetat med projektet Att omfamna ett rum som har möjlighet att ta del av i videon nedan.

I explore society from a kitchen point of view with a grandmother’s life in focus. It is a story about everyday rituals in the home, which are of an important cultural deed. The objects support her in these rituals, and they also help me to tell. My objects create a room to remember those who are soon no longer with us.
